April 30, 2024 - Enjoyed from a magnum. Decanted for an hour, continued to open up over the 2 hours we drank it. Alot of sediment.
Garrigue, cherry, leather, cigar humidor, cassis, hint of five spice & salinity, black olive, black tea.
March 18, 2024 - Peak drinking. Massively complex
March 6, 2024 - 94/95. 0.375. Has fantastic aromas of blackberries ,black olives, iron, mint, five spice and blueberries! Profound lightly spicy garriguey leathery, lightly earthy, vanilla-ery lacy, satiny ironey blue red and black fruited wine with lovely long refreshing and tapering finish with nice gripping tannin. 14.5%. Drink now with 8-9 hrs aeration or lay down 15-30 yrs no problem.
February 23, 2024 - Pulled out a bottle to test. Drinking well now. Expect it will continue to improve
February 14, 2024 - Under pristine, barely soaked cork. Decanted for an hour to start. Very deep mulberry with a touch of garnet colour. Gobs of spiced red fruit and garrigue on the nose. Secondary notes of licorice, tar, leather and wood-aged mascerated cherry. Heavenly aroma! Full bodied, loads of fruit extract, tart acidity, high tannins and highish alcohol. Overall, big and bodacious but balanced. Also has huge flavours of spirited and spiced red fruit and dried garrigue, new oak, leather, strong black tea and black licorice on the end. Finishes long, fruity, dry and grippy. Serious wine that is seriously good!
February 11, 2024 - Beautiful bouquet with mostly dark berries and good garrigue. On the palate dark berries, firm acidity, some pleasant bitterness and round tannin. Can easily last another decade. Beautiful wine which will show more finesse with more ageing.
February 7, 2024 - 3 hour slow ox. Really nice nose of strawberries,vanilla and a touch of cherry. Really smoth with a great mouthfeel and finish. Red fruits, earth and leather. Very nice wine that improved over a few hours. 95+
January 26, 2024 - Dark black raspberries, wild herbs, tobacco. Juicy, fresh, with quite a bit of tannic structure. No tertiary flavours right now. I actually don't think the Oak has fully integrated yet. This needs another 3-5 years to revisit.
January 22, 2024 - Great drinking window right now. Drank from 375ml.
January 20, 2024 - Big nose, super silky, full body, lots of red fruit and a very long finish. Medium acid
