June 4, 2018 - Dark cherry, Anise, Cassis, Leather. Went well with chargrilled ribeye
December 9, 2017 - This was tannic, and continued to be so for at least 90 minutes before I gave up. This was my only disappointing Navarro from the BerserkerDay special last January. Can't complain at the price I paid, but it was a lost opportunity to drink something drinkable.. The good news... I was with Yellowtail drinkers. ;)
November 1, 2017 - Sound, solid. Good example but a trifle simple. Still some tannins in it, so drink or hold.
July 28, 2017 - Day 1 this was, as others have noted, very fresh and fruity. A little fruitier than I'd hoped for at this point, actually. I was missing some of the other herbal or earthy notes.
Day 2 this is more integrated. Fruit is balanced with limestone and some herbs. Tannins are also a little more obvious. If this is indicative of this wine, other bottles should be 7+ years from vintage.
March 20, 2017 - I love it.. so fresh pure cool fruit..
February 8, 2017 - Very young but drinking nicely, cassis, dark fruit plum, nicely balanced from entry to finish and rather silky. Very nice
February 7, 2017 - Not a bad wine but nothing particularly exciting about it. Red fruit and cassis on the nose. Light/med body on the palate. Needs to gain a little more weight. I'm all for a restrained Cab but this felt somewhat hollow on the mid palate. Was hoping it would gain weight over the course of the evening. Med length finish with good balance, but I would venture a guess to drink near term rather than long term.
June 20, 2016 - Plum and cassis notes, with just enough grip to balance the juicy fruit. Some herbal notes and a velvet-like texture. Cool-climate character.
