January 15, 2021 - Third of 5 bottles. 1 in 2019, 1 in 2020.
Primarily brick to garnet with hints of rose at the rim; excellent clarity. Medium legs. Day 1: Aromas are red fruit dominant: cherry, strawberry, raspberry. More subtle yet there are hints of earthiness; mushroom. No oak noted. On the palate, berries continue to predominate but there are a bit of black pepper and dust join the mushroom. Medium body, round & polished texture. Medium plus finish and acidity. Day 2 differences: dust, pepper and mushroom nearly dissipate. Finish medium. Overall impression: a wine developed gently. Evolves slowly, but distinctly. A bit subtle, a bit shy, definitely complex. At about $19, QPR above average. Drink now or within 2 years.1 person found this helpful -

February 1, 2020 - Second of 5 bottles. First bottle in 2019. Similar impression.
Primarily garnet with hints of ruby; excellent clarity. Medium legs. Aromas are red fruit dominant: raspberry, cranberry, cherry. More subtle are dust, light toast, a touch of eucalyptus. On the palate, berries continue to predominate and spices strengthen. Medium body, polished texture. Medium plus finish and acidity. For bottle 2, noted more cherry emerging and no strawberry. At $19, QPR is above average. Well-balanced, definitely complex. Drinking quite well now, but should be fine for another few years.1 person found this helpful Comment -

November 5, 2019 - Nice balance. Decent alcohol levels. A little lacking in complexity at times. Comes off a little thin. But, very enjoyable.

April 12, 2019 - Primarily garnet with hints of ruby; excellent clarity. Medium legs. Aromas are red fruit dominant; strawberry, raspberry, cranberry. More subtle are cherry, dust, light toast, clove and just a bit of allspice. On the palate, berries continue to predominate and spices strengthen. Medium body, polished yet silky texture. Medium plus finish and acidity; tannins more woody than fruity. At $19, QPR is above average. Well-balanced, definitely complex. Glad we have 4 more of these. Enjoyable now but may peak in a year or two.
