November 28, 2023 - Decanted for 2 hours and drank over dinner for the next 2. The nose was spectacular with floral aromas with graphite, black cherry and licorice. On the palate, it was good but not great with muted black fruit and earthiness with grippy tannins. The finish seemed to be too short, maybe 5-10 seconds

April 2, 2022 - Opened for two hours and then decanted for two hours prior to consumption. Dark fruit on the nose. The palate was blueberry, dark cherry, cassis and tobacco leading to a long finish.

March 4, 2019 - Tasted at the Skurnik Grand Portfolio Tasting in NYC. Poured by Matt Hobbs. I just don't get it...Quite unremarkable to me...same old same old...big ripe fruit, huge tannin, alcohol, oak. Decent aromatics. Long finish. Brutish. For how much a bottle? No elegance or refinement. Age worthy? Just make sure you have it with an equally overpriced steak.

November 23, 2018 - I tend to agree with the latest reviews. Huge nose and highly aromatic. Very ripe on entry with a front loaded attack. The integration of all its parts seemed fine to me but it was just underwhelming. Was completely outclassed by a 2012 Ovid.

November 10, 2018 - My first encounter with the vineyard. Just not my style, with an overwhelming front palate displaying very ripe red fruit, slightly tart, more or less disconnected from a hollowed out rear palate. Not sure it ever integrates.
