October 5, 2018 - The nose reveals, ripe, lush, ruby, dark cherries, plum, bake strawberries, pepper, dark spice, mocha dark chocolate, limestone minerals, some black licorice, black cherry cola and bright dark florals.

The body is full, thick & rich. The fruits are ruby & lush. dark cherries, plum, bake strawberries, pepper, deep, dark spice, leather, crushed dry rocks, dry river stone, mocha dark chocolate, limestone minerals, strong presence of volcanic minerals, some black licorice, forest floor, black cherry cola and bright dark florals. The acidity is round and beautiful. The long, well balanced, ruby, elegant finish is fantastic and lasts minutes.

June 3, 2018 - Second stop on our eighth day in Napa Valley is to Wheeler Farms where we tasted wines from Wheeler Farms, Tor Kenward, Arrow and Branch, and Vice Versa. Third wine is from Arrow & Branch and it is their White Label Right Bank Blend. This is made up of 47.4% Cabernet Franc, 35.4% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16.5% Merlot and .7% Petit Verdot with fruit from the Arrow & Branch and Stagecoach Vineyards. Aged for 20 months in 70% new French oak barrels.

Dark ruby red with garnet edges. Dark cocoa on the attack of the nose with red plums, cinnamon, black tea, mint, leather and a touch floral. Medium plus tannins (7/10) and a medium plus body. Not as complex on the palate with notes of dark black cherries, cinnamon and bark. Long dry finish. Drink till 2026.

February 9, 2018 - 3-Day Napa Cab Taste-Off: Vice Versa, B Cellars, Memento Mori, Alpha Omega, Purlieu, Janzen, Realm, Myriad, MACDONALD, Maybach, and more...; 2/7/2018-2/9/2018 (Napa): High-toned red berry fruit, with notes of black and red currant, red and black cherry, cassis, limestone, spice, and some alcohol. The fruit had a lot of drive initially, but was clipped by hits of vanilla-laced alcohol and cranberry on the latter half of the attack. The finish was fairly short.

I think the purity of fruit is notable here, as is the energy with which it fires off its red fruit notes. This needs some time to sort itself out. I liked it, but felt its depth wasn’t fully settled in at the moment. Hold for 2++ years and hope the fruit holds up as the grip evens out. 90-91+ point for now.

February 9, 2018 - Whirlwind Winter Tasting in the Valley; 2/7/2018-2/10/2018 (Napa Valley, CA): This is a majority cab franc wine from their estate in Coombsville. The rest is merlot and cabernet sauvignon, with perhaps a minimal amount of petit verdot if I remember correctly. Great wine. A wonderfully fresh and fragrant nose, displaying roses and violet to go with raspberries, blackberries and some asian spices. On the pallet this is very pure, with nice restraint. Showing a lot of earthy spice with blue and red fruit. Long finish and good flavor profile. Made to age.
