June 9, 2022 - BTG at 67 Pall Mall and Noble Rot: Dark fruit, quite tannic and not sure if this will ever come around as the fruit seemed to fading compared to the tannins. A little dusty and rustic.

January 19, 2021 - Thin, astringent, not particularly complex. Still some fruit, but not much interesting going on here.

July 22, 2018 - Very dark and still tanic style. Lacked finesse and elegance. Served after La granite from Chapoutier and somehow related more here than to a Burgundy.

August 13, 2016 - How good can a Savigny get? About as good as this. Dark, earthy & spicy. Has improved since last bottle 5 years ago.

(Clair Bruno Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Dominode) A deep and dark nose. Plenty of grainy tannin here coupled with mouthwatering acidity too. Fortunately the fruit is also very interesting and seems up to the job. Good as it is, it’s twice the price of Pavelot’s and not as good.

(Domaine Bruno Clair Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru La Dominode) Very dark cherry red color; roses and strawberry on the palate with oak edges and sweet tannins; medium finish (from vines planted in 1902)($76 pre-arrival)
