January 5, 2022 - A tiny bit lacking in the mid-palate but there are a lot of nice components here. I love the slightly funky, oxidative notes. Let's see where the last bottle ends up in a few years...

September 30, 2020 - Quickie sip at NVNA. Drank in Gabriel Glas Gold. Tasted blind.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, yellow gold colour. Thin legs. Fine frothy bubbles.
Nose medium+ intensity, with aromas of toast bread, brioche, almond nut, oxidative notes, golden apples. Some oyster shell and chalk with air. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium- alcohol (12%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of oxidativeness, caramel, golden apples, baked apple tart, rich grapefruit, oyster-shell and chalkiness minerals with more air. Long finish.
Very good quality. Complex, fruity and nicely oxidative. Feels older than I expected for a 2008. Could develop mushroomy notes with more age.
Made in a very unique way. Bottle number 1761.

April 16, 2020 - Rik nese med begynnende utvikling. Nedfallsfrukt, sopp, sitrus, masse sjø, kalk og østers. Frukten er rik men behersket. Ellers veldig mineralsk i uttrykket. Ren og flott frukt i munn. Epler, fersken, plommer, aprikos, after eight. Nydelig kons og en spesielt krisp syre. Medium pluss lengde. Flott Champagne som begynner å drikke bra.

October 6, 2018 - Lunch at Jade Court (Chicago, IL): Forgot to note all the details on this. This is definitely a pinot heavy champagne, with tons of nutty and mushroomy notes on the nose and palate. Shows a fair but of oxidative character, but on the palate, this is a slight bit more funky than I like, and while it's definitely quite bracing with its acidity, there's enough stuffing on the palate to balance it. Seems to be in a good window, at least for me, already.
