Community Tasting Notes 11

December 23, 2017 - Thick but tart blueberry and blackberry fruits dominate the palate with much Stoney minerality and maybe even some graphite. Floral and ripe nose. 15% abv hits hard though the finish itself is not tannic or strong. Enough freshness to move the flavors along. For $16 not bad. Was enjoyed by the family at Xmas eve eve dinner.

July 16, 2017 - This wine had 15% alcohol which seemed ridiculous for a French Grenache. Acid balance was a bit off, fruit was tart, needs 3+ years in bottle.

July 11, 2017 - A good wine but a bit too expensive I think. Do not buy again

July 2, 2017 - Opaque purple color, notes of herb on the nose, medium body, good acidity, balanced tannin, some dark fruit on the palate and finish

June 28, 2017 - Deep purple hue that opens with dried herbs and violet aromas. Raspberry and black cherry complement plum and cassis flavors. Full-bodied density with very nice balance of acidity/fruit while the supple finish lingers with clove and leather.
