Community Tasting Notes 7

March 25, 2014 - Very youthful and fresh (though this was served from magnum) with bright peach and citrus fruit tinged with sweeter doughy and yeasty notes. Not the most complex, and showing a bit of sweetness (dosage?) on the back end, but nicely balanced and refreshing.

July 27, 2009 - Random Wines at Mike and Karen's house.: Citrus, green apple, and yeast on the nose.
The mid palate is a bit hollow but the back end
brings a nice acidic yeasty finish.

July 18, 2009 - A random Saturday Evening (Mike and Karen's): nose: interesting nose of lemon drops, yeast, bits of honey and mineral tones. Well evolved nose with nice depth that has a interesting aspect to it

taste: a bit hollow on the mid-palate which detracts from it, but posseses nice tones of lemon drops, minerals, and a good amount of honey. Nice medium acidity accompanies this

overall: a really good and mature california sparkler. If the mid-palate had a bit more to it, it'd be a lot better, but what is there is a very nice sparkler

December 5, 2008 - The Blind Drunks 1997 California Cab Retrospective Dinner (Dunham Woods Riding Club, Wayne, Illinois): Pale color with a medium mousse. Notes of citrus, minerals and chalk. Nice weight on the palate, with crisp acidity and flavors of apple and citrus. Really nice, and quite a surprise.
