March 8, 2024 - This pours a very deep purple-to-black color in the glass. There’s a ton of sediment in the bottle, so I’m glad it stood it up for a week or so first. The nose is a little closed at the moment, and the palate is one dimensional. Followed over two hours after pop & pour service. I suspect this is just in a sleepy phase at the moment. I’ll check in again next winter and plan to give it time in the decanter, as well. For now, it’s not showing all it has, so hold vs. drink.

February 15, 2024 - Deep colour with a fair bit of sediment when decanting. Nose of vanilla, spices, some floral elements and dark fruits. Palate is supple and delicious, dark and red fruits. My first time with this, very pleasant

August 18, 2023 - Double decanted back into bottle half hour before serving with grilled Rib Eye and Italian sausage links. Aroma off the empty decanter gave a demonstration of the treat in store.
In the glass, dark purple and opaque. Nose of brambleberry and dark plums. Swirling glass around you STILL cannot see through this wine, this is a true PETS. In the mouth, delightfully elegant well rounded wine that matched well with steak and spicy sausage in two different bites. It's hard to put the wine glass down. Finish is long with tannins that are not obtrusive like many PETS. Has 4-5 years at least ahead of it.1 person found this helpful Comment -

March 27, 2023 - Deep violet purple color: nose of dark plums; concentrated dark fruit and earthy flavors with dense tannins. Somewhat unidimensional but interesting and good with food.

October 27, 2022 - On first opening, this seemed like it would like other PS I've had: over the top in terms of power, blue/black fruits and alcohol. But over the next couple hours, this really opened up. Drank with lasagna, and it was an exceptional companion. With air, loads of red fruits, sandalwood, some spiciness, a touch of smokiness. Much lighter and smoother with air than when first opened. All in all, I'm this turned into an exceptional wine given a little air and the right food.
