January 14, 2022 - This was my favorite wine of the evening and was excellent but perhaps not quite as good as last tasted about 10 years ago. Drink now.

May 1, 2021 - Holy oak batman. Hard to believe a 20+ year old wine could still smell like a new barrel. Lots of vanilla, violets, creme de cassis and blueberries on the nose. On the palate, big, with lots of vanilla oak up front, draping a core of blue-black fruit, with chewy tannins on the back end. Not for me.

August 19, 2019 - No decant, cork was pristine. Aromas of Cassis, dark fruit and cigar box. Firm integrated tennis. Truffle, earth, with long cherry vanilla finish.

69% Cab, 31% Merlot. Unfiltered.
This was a club member shipment over 17 years ago, stored in our cellar. -

March 9, 2014 - I was concerned that I had let this sit too long based on the notes that had been written lately so I opened a bottle. It was a really good bottle of wine still and not in any way past its prime. Drink in the next 3 years though or you will be past the peak. it is all about storage and the seal. If the seal is good this wine will be fantastic. Good, pure Andy Beckstoffer Juice from a good year. Fruit forward with a long finish. Nothing strange no added flavors to speak of just the fruit. And instead of too harsh it was smooth. Worth having the last two bottles i have for sure. Good nose and finish. What else do we want from a classic Napa Cab.

December 20, 2013 - Dark fruit, plum, tobacco flavors, medium bodied, soft and round. WA has it better than WS on this one. A good, not great, wine.
