March 30, 2024 - Fair amount of brett on the nose, with slightly less on the palate. Red fruits, barnyard, and pepper are all integrated. Still youthful and just dirty enough to show that classic Chateauneuf character. Good, just not up there with the top Pegau vintages.
June 22, 2023 - From MAG. Very good and very much in the farmyard, dark fruit style of Pegau. Complex and very French in its aromatics. Excellent freshness.
April 22, 2023 - A bit bretty, and still pretty young. I think more age is required for maximum enjoyment.
March 25, 2023 - Amazing wine! Fresh fruit, round and very balanced.
January 25, 2023 - A touch of Brett, leather, plums, herbs, and white pepper. It had nice acidity and paired well the the ribeye steak chimichurri.
November 21, 2022 - Chateauneuf du pape tasting (at my home): requires 1-2 hours of aeration

September 19, 2022 - Oaky, spicy, smoky nose. A big, huge wine that’s still a bit young. Oak underpinning is still dominated by its fruit concentration. Complex.
August 28, 2022 - Still bright fruit with a moderate bret. Really complex with a succession of very distinct tastes. Probably still has another decade of optimal.
July 2, 2022 - This was very good; the nose shows ripe dark fruits, a hint of garrigue, floral notes; the palate has very nice balance with the richness being balanced by enough acidity to keep things flowing, and leads into a nice dark fruit and herbal finish.
June 16, 2022 - Abbreviated note; enjoyed at Dan'l Webster Inn with dinner.
Color/App: deep/dark ruby core -> dense ruby rim with slight bricking. Full, dense bouquet of garrigue, figs, plums, black fruit and Southern Rhone spice. Palate mirrored the nose and while still showing tannins, they were fine and integrated into the palate and faded with the food. Excellent acidity and a long, savoury finish. This is drinking well now and will certainly last quite a few more years.
