October 3, 2023 - 55F since acquiring on release - Stelvin closure- bright youthful clear light yellow- acacia honey at fore with peaches, pears, and pineapple in close support. Floral notes too make themselves known. Medium rich on palate where a little bitter citrus rind shows itself. Enough tartness to keep things fresh and focused but not a parotid squeezer.

September 2, 2022 - Very pretty and showing nicely. Honey, lanolin, peach, tropical flavour, wet stone.

December 14, 2021 - A medium sweet style with characters of honey, toffee and peach. Lacking complexity it just misses out on acidity, vibrancy and depth of flavour. Not a great vintage and rather bland when compared to more exalted company. CHP 83 points

October 17, 2021 - Second Sunday Group: 2002 Burgundies (R&D's): Deep color. Stone fruit and ripe apple aromas. Honeyed orchard fruit, mandarin orange, stone fruit and pear flavors. Long finish.

October 3, 2021 - Vinetasters: 2001 Châteauneuf-du-Pape et al. (Skokie, IL): Served double blind. Compared to the previous wine (the 2003) which was clearly a sweet dessert wine, this felt far more dry, and showed some dirty characteristics as well. I picked up a bit of a melon note, so I thought this could have been a Macvin de Jura. An interesting side-by-side next to the 2003, which was bottled under cork (this was bottled under screwcap). I would never have guessed that the two wines were the same, but for a year apart.
