October 12, 2023 - This wine is now entering its drinking window. A bit of a decant did not hurt and much better than the last bottle.

An intense yellow, the nose is complex but elegant mix of stone fruits, orange peel and some lime. Still fresh although showing hints of decline, it ticks all the boxes of a great Viognier. Fine balance and restraint, perhaps too restraint, it has the richness and great length on the finish.

    Drink now to 4+ years.

September 15, 2023 - Not rated as not my cup of tea. This reminded me more of Vodka than wine. 15% and you feel that a lot, after taste not of wine. Maybe a bad bottle but did not enjoy at all

October 1, 2022 - Beautiful bouquet with smoke and butter. On the palate a full bodied and slightly reductive. Mature and with beautiful, mild acidity. Great wine.

April 16, 2022 - Interesting wine. The vintage speaks, certainly, power behind, but still that wee bit of petillant feel. AD forund it too powerfull and rich, guessed Rhône right off the mark (and ruled out Condrieu), but I think, this will get there, just needs a bit more time to settle. Today it looks very much like my notes of 5 years ago.

September 11, 2021 - I would strongly that this wine be decanted before consumption to make the most out of it. The wine could be over powering otherwise. The nose was beautifully loud and expressive, a full dose of oak, floral notes and a hint of citrus. Beautifully weighted and balanced body, it had the richness and creaminess to carry the array of fruits - full of nectarines and peach - what a peach of a wine! And the finish is fleshy but linear, a wonderful Condrieu.

Not the heavy end but certainly, a Steely Dan style of Condrieu. Drink now or can last for another 7+ years easily.

August 21, 2021 - Pop and pour. Absolutely lovely, and at peak for my palate. Yeah, this is stylistically opposite to, say, Vernay. On the nose: serious oak and florals, but so stylish. Now some soft honey and loads of cool minty flowers in the mix. On the palate: lovely density and acidity, fantastic finish.

July 15, 2021 - Lots of fresh white peach, almonds, honey, and minerals. Delicious and good match with crab cakes. Very similar in flavor profile to the last bottle of Chery that I had.

May 18, 2020 - Blind Wine Industry Guys (Eric's House, Hong Kong): Served blind. Light silver gold. Nose of aged Comte cheese. Palate is somewhat sweet but very Condrieu. A little one-dimensional at this age.

April 10, 2020 - The aromas of tropical fruit are quite wonderful. However my appreciation of this wine is greatly obstructed by the high alcohol of 15 percent it actually feels more than that. Part of the enjoyment of a wine is having a few glasses with food so I really felt the effects of the alcohol of having consumed less than half a glass. So while I am pleased to have tried this I have issues with the high alcoholic content which is not for me and for that reason will refrain from giving this a score. There is no question this is a big,fat rich wine and could work paired with the appropriate dish just be considerate on the measure that you pour.
