June 22, 2019 - Nearing the end of its drinking window, but still a solid Chard. Lemons, hints of melons, some cream and hints of butterscotch, Oak
April 14, 2019 - Really nice wine. Pear, apple, and nut aromas exhibit a hint of ripeness that accrues intensity the longer it sits. The palate exhibits cool climate character in its lifted, tensile acidity and quince fruit firmness and freshness. Good value too.
February 16, 2018 - Medium golden, viscous @14.1 % abv. Bready nose with pineapple, lemon and green herbs (sage?). Dry, medium-medium(+) acidity, medium (+) alcohol and ditto body. Medium well-defined palate of lemon, pineapple, white pepper, white tropical fruits. Good length with lingering finish with rather bright acidity. Not terrible complex, very drinkable.
October 3, 2017 - Complex, lemon, earth, leather vanilla and toast nose. Ripe flavours with a soft fruit upfront with a smart spice and earth in behind. Long, dynamic finish.
4.5/5
October 2, 2017 - The highly aromatic nose offers smoky buttered popcorn, butter, and golden apple notes that continue on the palate with hints of caramel and butterscotch. Heavily wood-influenced. It's medium-full bodied with bright acids and excellent finish length.
July 30, 2017 - Nice wine. Bought at close out $16 a bottle. Well worth it. Rich well balanced and deep golden color in glass. True California new world style. Delivers the butterscotch and leesy notes quite well.
July 7, 2017 - Bready on the nose with hints of lemon. Medium straw color belies its richness. Soft on the palate continuing the bread theme in the flavors but smoothly transitioning to a mildly tart finish that shows some acid backbone. Oak is definitely present and ML is obvious but not overpowering. Certainly Napa style Chardonnay, big and rich not European in any way. Flavors are best when not too cold. This Chard is definitely my style but honestly it's a bit restrained compared to some
