    January 18, 2019 - Initial reaction.

Nose; Pencil lead, dried blood, sweating charcuterie, slightly wooly blackberry fruit with some fresh chopped portobello and dried lavender.

On the palate; Warm blackberry from the bush. Soft but plentiful tannin and medium acidity. Velvety mouthfeel and a nice long finish (1 minute +).

October 27, 2018 - 2015 Northern Rhones Blind: Single blind. Sandwiched between the two Allemands and Jamet, and this showed quite well amongst that company. Bold and full nose with loads of black fruit aromas laced with black pepper. Quite concentrated with loads of fruit and tannin. Opulent and delicious already. Pretty impressed to see this producer among the top wines tonight. Liked this better than a non-blind bottle that I had 6 months ago.

October 27, 2018 - Most of the 2015 Northern Rhones worth a damn, blind (Chicago, IL): Served single blind. A real winner in my book tonight, with its lovely green tones and silky elegance. Really graceful, with a really nice raciness, and no signs of weird hipster behaviour going on here. The back end has a moderate amount of grainy tannin, and there's a really lovely elegance here. The fruit, clean and polished, and veering a bit towards the blacker side of the spectrum, had me guessing that this was the Allemand Chaillot.

August 6, 2018 - I will start out by saying that I definitely prefer these young as I’ve had a few bottles go very south with age. Nice, crunchy red fruit; good acidity; and a carbonic tilt. Substantial sediments already. These wines are fun but always seem a little flat considering the price and I’m scared to age them given my experience. There are a number of other similar natural wines made for early drinking at lower prices.
