    August 12, 2019 - Tart, tight, slightly bitter, and closed. Lighter, cloudy, but glowing ruby red color. Bitter streak but also dark fruit emerging. Ultimately, this was still closed and one-dimmensional. Drink now. Technical score: 88. Enjoyment score: 86.

    June 1, 2017 - I've had previous vintages of this ('12 & '14 - if memory serves) and this was a sizable step back. Pale, to the point that you start thinking Trousseau or Poulsard, although this has some slight magenta tones. The nose is pretty simple with some carbonic bubblegum notes, a floral component and the expected strawberries and raspberries. On the palate this is really straight forward, with tart strawberries, a bit of a vegetal note, maybe a touch of citrus, but that may just be from the medium+ acidity. Medium- tannin and lacking any sort of complexity. This make a strong case for why Cru Beaujolais want to disassociate themselves from "Beaujolais".

    May 27, 2017 - Very tasty, balanced, and light in the traditional way...very easy to drink, and complements near anything, without calling too much attention to itself.
