November 2, 2007 - Hot smoky misty nose. Dense fruit on the palate, black cherry, berries, plum, soft tannins, maybe a bit flabby, definitely a drink now wine. short to medium fruit finish, oak subtle and not overbearing. Quite enjoyable for $10.

October 6, 2007 - The last one I had was better. This seemed like it was a bit corked. The finish was very hot. ALthough you could still taste the berries and a bit of oak as well.

September 28, 2007 - Seemed slightly corky? More of a musty old cellarness than wet paper. It was still very tasty...in fact got better as it opened. The spice came out quite nicely. I would say there was some corkiness...but I am very tolerant to tca, and it didn't take away from the wine imo. Just added a damp cellar note, which I kind of like!

August 20, 2007 - Lighter black cherry in color. Floral pepper/hay spice, raspberry/cherry liqueur, dried herbs nose. Nice balance of sweet wild berry fruit, herb and flower florals, spicy black/white peppers....with a touch of toasty oak. Simple, easy drinkin, yet tasty. Nice structure and feel...not too sweet, or too alcoholic. For $11....a great qpr Zin!

August 7, 2007 - Not quite as good as I remember from the ZAP tasting, but still a complex and full wine for $9.99 (Costco). Moderate tannin, fruit forward, with some pepper on the finish.

August 4, 2007 - Easy drinking--fleshy, juicy mid-palate, spicy finish. Dark fruit on the nose. Great with BBQ foods.

June 24, 2007 - Opened and drank by itself first night, then finished the next night with pasta tossed with creamy tomato sauce and vegetables. The first night, it seemed a little alcoholy, both on the nose and the palate. Vacuvinned overnight. The next night, it was much more pleasant, with a licorice and plum nose, fruity on the palate at first and then finishes oak. Very nice everyday wine, especially for $10.l
