February 5, 2023 - Fantastic. Relative deep colour but with some translucency. Feels quite light on its feet for 14.5%
Plenty of fruit and vibrancy with nice acidic cut.
Utterly delicious and the bottle ends rather quickly.
Very much a fan now after just a few bottles of G

May 16, 2020 - Quarantine; 3/12/2020-5/29/2020 (Chicago, IL): Served double blind. Cherries and vanilla, you get the sense that this is a really heavy wine but made in a really light style. Lots of fruit but also a slightly off, sickly sweet smell that evokes bug spray. A fair amount of tannin on the back end; I actually managed to guess the producer on this. There's something that seems to be pretty distinctive about the wines, and despite this essentially being the darling of the NY somm/hypebeast crowd, I'm gonna go and call out the emperor for having no clothes on.

May 5, 2019 - Drunk at One Harbour Road at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong - My first time to this wine and needless to say I was expecting something completly different from a Spanish grenache (and it wasn't going to be positive). This is an exceptionally well made wine, beautiful sweet fruit and exceptional balance. There is no hint of heat or excessive alcohol. Very impressive indeed!

May 5, 2019 - Ripe and elegant, dark and blue fruit, licorice, some musk. Good balance.

May 19, 2018 - young, tannic, spicy with berries, herbs, earth. Gredos style - brilliant ruby, lighter color, but great structure. Very satisfying. will likely improve with time. Excellent wine, but very expensive. The 1er from this producer seemed just as interesting for much less

3 days later - softer but still considerable structure - cherry, pine tree, cotton candy - excellent. Should have a long life

March 30, 2018 - Infanticide, as this is not showing much of anything right now. Nose is high-toned raspberry, blood orange, and minerals, while the palate is a lot better. This is a really fantastic expression of grenache, and given the structure and balance, it probably needs at least 5 years before being truly accessible - it will likely have a 15-20 year life. Hard to say if it's worth $90, but the winemaking and quality are definitely top-notch.

Day 2 Update: Upgrading this a point. Goes to show how much time these wines need, but this is crazy good now. Much more open and intense.
