February 2, 2024 - This has aged well. I pop and poured this one. It was drinking well immediately, but benefitted from a half hour to warm up and open up.
Big black cherry nose, some raisin note and ash-tray (in a good way), (maybe I'm thinking tobacco). Smooth tannins. Perfect drinking window. -

April 9, 2023 - Paired with smoked short ribs (yum). The 2015 showing garnet colour some brick shading at the top. Notes of damp earth, cigar box and leather, with some cedar at the top of the glass (maybe white pepper too?).
Beautiful lengthy finish. Tasting dark fruits at the open, moving into feeling the soft tannins wash over my mouth.
Waiting a few more years for the next one but this is goooood. -

August 19, 2022 - Dark purple color, medium aroma. Soft first taste, subtle red fruits, licorice, earthy sweet finish. Long linger. A bit on the sweet vs earth side so not as good a later vintages
