January 30, 2024 - CT tells me I have had this wine 12 times and the last few bottles have been slightly dumb. I suggest this wine may not be in a good place at present, not yet into the classic aged EV Riesling but having lost some freshness and tension. Try again 2026.

November 13, 2023 - I found this more appealing almost two years down the line.
A little more rounded., medium bodied, acidity not quite as pronounced.
May improve further, it will be interesting to see how it evolves over the next few years.

April 23, 2023 - Very pale green gold. Nose indistinct. Crushed seashells, dash of salinity, green grass, lime but topped off with residual sweetness. Seems very fine on pnp. Acidity is very restrained, no battery acid here. Is it too laid back? No, it’s really lovely, lime oil, layers of fineness come through. A beautifully poised wine, with subtle facets, refinement and is very good. Different style to normal Aussie Riesling. Day 2, it is excellent, lime pith, faint oiliness and honey, class. Really good Riesling now, would like to keep some back to see how it grows.

December 7, 2022 - First Wednesday Wine Club (Napoli in Bocca, Haberfield): "Served Blind.
Low intensity aromas show a little lime, candy floss, slight citrus. Juicy with slight candy floss, citrus, a smidge of butter, all quite muted and flat, especially after the first two wines.
I got as far as an Australian Riesling but thought this may have been from a cooler climate so ended up in Orange, NSW and about 5 years old"

November 15, 2022 - Great example of an Eden Valley Riesling: all lime, kerosene and piercing acidity that’s totally refreshing and mouthwatering. A little honey richness thanks to the age.

Extended lees contact gives this another layer of bready complexity and some body on the palate. Very well balanced and a long finish to boot.

The grapes were picked early and fermented cold in stainless steel for two weeks before clarification. Bottling took place immediately, then the wine was cellared at the winery for five years prior to release.

October 1, 2022 - Very pale yellow/tinge of green. Crystal clear. Lemon and grapefruit nose, some watermelon/honeydew melon notes. Palate is linear, with citrus to the fore, some lovely stony minerality, and some honeyed complexity. Great acid, very long length. Enjoyed this one.

July 11, 2022 - A classic Eden Valley Riesling of crystalline purity and structure. Nothing out of place, lemon grass, lime zest and slate all contributing. Wonderful wine with indefinite future. 18.75

March 30, 2022 - In the Wigan style so classic eden valley structure and flavour profile with a slightly dryer/bready slant. Very underdeveloped, and feels like it’s a tightly coiled spring needing to unwind. Leave for 3 years 18.

March 25, 2022 - Had a bottle of this last week. I had high expectations, but they weren't really met. This was a nice bottle, but didn't quite have the spark and intensity I was hoping for. Light to medium bodied, not quite as dry as expected (but certainly not off dry) with mainly citrus notes. Maybe its shut down or too young? Or maybe this vintage wasn't as good as some previous vintages? Have a couple extra bottles and will hope for the best (B+).
