March 23, 2024 - TBC - not very evolved. Not necessarily more complex than the VR Colombiere tasted alongside which was waxing some VR magic. There is good sap and midapalate presence here but for now it does not stand out from a great number of well-made ripe year burgs. In short this is too young.

April 10, 2022 - This wine was PnP, red and creamy, polished texture with smooth velvety tannins and a little lactic note. Clean, raspberry yogurt with a bit of vanilla and sandalwood tannin. Fruit is in the red to blue spectrum. I won’t call it modern but your Cali loving friends won’t hate it. More luxurious as the night goes on. This will be more beautiful with age. Not a bad intro to this producer.

April 9, 2022 - Got better through the evening but was young and a bit awkward. Oak vanilla notes were notable on the nose. Fruit leaning towards ripe black cherry notes. Balanced--though the oak stuck out. Best to hold. Showed some stately tannins.

January 27, 2022 - Remarkably accessible even this young- Tart dark fruits and spice supported and balanced by a backbone of grippy NSG tannins. This stood out in a blinded flight of Sonoma Pinot as “the Burgundian one”.

November 8, 2021 - Travels in Burgundy... A Few Wines During Meals; 11/7/2021-11/12/2021 (Burgundy): This had been open an hour before tasted. Ripe black and red cherry start-to-finish with allspice and black pepper. Exceptional balance already for a 2015 this young.

June 26, 2021 - A clear step up from both the 2018 Arnoux Lachoux NSG and 2019 Chantereves Pommard. Loved the aromatics on this. So much elegance, even though it has so much more weight on the palate compared to the other two wines. Great persistence and drinking so well already. Damn, I want some.

March 11, 2021 - Gave this about an hour of air

Mostly effeminate nose which leads with strawberry and spice, complimented by floral tones and a touch of dark red cherries. Palate has a nice lightness to it with pretty acidity and lift, and a fine and fresh and spicy finish. Very nice today
