February 29, 2020 - This one is a good one: mainly apple, some lemon, with the usual saltiness, some white pepper, dense and rich, middle length.

February 7, 2020 - Quintessentially Chenin Blanc on the nose with ripe apple, wool, jasmine and a faint herbal note and even more faint popcorn note. On the palate relatively voluminous yet markedly focused and tense. Bone dry and most savory, there is no sense of sweetness or overt ripeness to be found here. It is wonderfully tangy and just a tad bit austere despite its textural richness. With good grip on the finish, this does not come off as massively acidic yet I would call it quite structured. Clearly a baby still, but I just love its singular, salty style. Authentic and unadulterated, as Baudry wines always are.

January 31, 2020 - Deep yellow, quite advanced, pure apple taste, nice salinity, but borderline to oxidation. I do not know why, but as good Baudry makes the reds, as borderline his whites are. At least 1 of 3 bottles are more advanced as they should be.

September 29, 2019 - Advanced colour; rather crude, rough hewn pine, whiff of salinity; blunt, blocky, overstated; plain, lacks verve, bitter snap. It’s a good wine but lacks the appeal of less warm vintages. One for medium term, at best.

September 7, 2019 - Developed very positively over two nights.
A light honey-colour. Nose of pear, apple, apricot and and unripe melon. Much more pronounced on second day plus additional pleasant note of struck flint.
Palate held more cooked versions of the above fruit plus sweet lemon. Mineral note turning salty in a medium-length finish.
Quite a fat wine in the mouth. There is acidity but it is well-cloaked by the body.
All in all, a wine which was underwhelming on first opening, but which after 24 hours developed into an appealing, harmonious one, consistent on the eye, in its feel, taste and nose.
