    May 19, 2023 - An exceptional wine!

January 2, 2023 - Prior bottle was a bit over 13 months ago and this wine continues to show quite well. Black cherry, red cherry, floral, earth and mineral notes on the nose. Medium bodied with black cherry upfront, with some red cherry highlights. Mid-body adds slightly deeper and a touch darker black cherry with tart red cherry behind. Continues to show elegance and depth through the middle. Backside has balanced tannins and very good acidity that adds a tart counterpoint to the mid-body fruit. Finishes with earth and mineral qualities. Overall, the mid-body has opened up slightly and the backside shows a bit more integration. Should continue to improve along these lines and I'll plan to open my next bottle possibly as early as Summer 2023.

November 18, 2021 - Red and black cherry along with earth and mineral notes on a very aromatic and pretty nose. Medium bodied (13.5% ABV) with a combination of black and red cherry notes upfront and through the middle. It may sound straight forward, but the mid-body showed silky and elegant depth that when combined with the fruit notes, allowed the wine to show nuance and character. Backed with tart notes, acidity and then earth notes through the finish. Is showing well at present, but may be able to come together just a bit further and has the potential to improve. As other reviewers have noted, right now, this is a step behind the superlative 2014 and the outstanding 2016. I'll plan to try my next bottle in early Fall 2022.

February 19, 2021 - Subtle nose of wet earth, berry fruits, coffee, perhaps a hint of Burgundian merde. On the palate, fine focus and balance, smooth and complex with the fruit lending a high note to the otherwise rather dark character of this medium bodied pinot. A long finish that stays faithful to the nose & palate. Subtle, but quite good, if maybe not as overtly impressive as the (dare I say it) 2014 version. Fine now.

July 25, 2020 - Had first glass with pizza. Not a good match. After food, was very good with nice red cherry fruit
