April 3, 2021 - Dark fruited and ripe but with a proper line of acidity and freshness. Not that dense, a nice elegant dark fruited village volnay from a ripe vintage.

May 24, 2020 - The 2015 Michel Lafarge Volnay is refined for a Volnay village wine. Dark fruited and low pitched compared to the flamboyant Heitz Lochardet Volnay Taillepied. Ripe dark berries and rustic earthy minerals of Volnay. Structured backbone. This needs another couple years to soften the tannins. (83/100)
