February 9, 2024 - My first experience with this producer - a present - and a very good experience - we had the wine on a Nebiolo night - where we tasted 2013-2014-2015 from different producers - I really like this one you get mature cherries and forrest strawberries. You also get menthol and hints of vanilla - a well balanced wine - tannins and acidity are both medium plus but very well integrated - and the wine has a niche balance - I am also getting leather - the wine has a long pleasant aftertaste - will give very solid 93 - sorry I only have this bottle.

April 7, 2023 - From 375, thanks KM. Couldn’t remember the night, but I’ve got this bottle!
Fruit gets into raspberry. Almost a first for Martinenga? IMHO. Generous, easy to drink. Comes off as light tannin (at the moment).

July 26, 2021 - Gorgeous nose of tar and roses, into dark, black cherry and deep pomegranate. Dusty tannins and a fabulous astringency balance with oak toast and a long, saline finish. Nice, expressive blend of the traditional and the new.

May 10, 2021 - Entering a perfect drinking window. Mature red small fruits, a hint of liquorice an balsamic notes.
Perfectly balanced acidity, suave tannins and a velvet touch.

A feminine Barbaresco perfectly representing the history of Martinenga.

March 28, 2021 - Oh what do we know. But this is the best Barbaresco we have drank over this crazy year plus of lockdown. Works with beef, lamb, venison, chicken, and, if it has breathed, on its own. It’s a beauty.
