April 5, 2024 - Elegant nose of light red berries and raspberries, with notes of freshly cut flowers, blossoms, lavender and forest floor. Quietly expressive and intense, yet tender. There is super fine, weightless persistency, perfect equilibrium between ripe red fruit and freshness and a lightly spiced finish that fans out and melts across the mouth. With duck breast, fennel salad and frites.

January 27, 2018 - Domaine Francois Lamarche Masterclass: Ok, now we are talking! The first nose that shows real sophistication, red and black fruit, forest, earth. Good stuff, also elegant, clean palate, lively acidity. A winner. Lamarche has a three different plots, all high quality ones in Ech (Champs Traversins, Les Couts, Clos St.Denis) and it shows in this blend. A very complete wine. 95-96

Apres le malconsort, l'echezeaux semblait moins lisible car plus sur la réserve, un peu peu plus dans la force car moins en chair, la finesse du grain étant sans doute moins palpable à ce stade (ou trop subtile apres le Vosne). Il n'en reste pas moins que la couleur très claire, les arômes delicats de petits fruits rouges acidulés et de fleurs, de cerise sont d'une grande élégance. Un grand pinot fin! -

January 11, 2017 - Burgundy 2015 en primeur (London): Fine lovely fruit towards the darker spectrum. Rather lean and earthy with elegant sleek fruit. Had expected more depth from this site. 91-93p
