December 28, 2020 - It needs time to open up. I decanted and drank within 30 minutes, still bound up. After another two hours, the body had opened up. Medium tannins, floral bouquet. Not much complexity but enjoyable.

November 27, 2018 - Consistent with past tastings - nose has red fruit, cured olives, maybe pomegranate? Palate has juicy, tart red berry fruit, some cola, mouth-filling acidity and peppery tannins (more than I remembered), really terrific.

September 16, 2018 - Open 24 hours ago. Good dark color. Leggy. Nose of flowers and minerals, but also somewhat pruney . A bit shy. Earth and dust with a bit of olive in the mouth, but once again this wine is not showing well. Hollow in mid-palate and there is almost no finish. Consistent with my last tasting of this wine, but a far cry from my first bottle, which was so good I bought more bottles. 4-10-10-4: 78/100.

May 17, 2018 - Nose of garrigue, red fruit, olives, earth. Palate surprisingly smooth, fruit dominates, I get strawberry flavors with the astringency of blackberry. Delightful but probably time to drink up.

January 20, 2018 - Opened 24 hours ago. Medium-dark red. Mostly red fruit aromas, a little muddled. Missing the "it" factor of some other vintages I have enjoyed. Just OK in the mouth, somewhat sharp, nothing memorable. A disappointment. 4-11-12-5: 82/100.

September 6, 2017 - Monastrell with Grenache, Syrah. Medium nose shows blackberry, baking spice, red plum, crushed violets, meat, allspice. Palate is nicely layered, modern feel but dry, dried black fruits, black pepper, dried raspberry, dried herbs, baking spice, aggressive in a good way, giving medium plus tannins and bang for the buck, acidity tries to keep up, finishes dry. 15% alcohol. Nice QPR.
