February 26, 2023 - Always a treat to drink Fred's wines and something as straightforward as essentially an entry level zin is just a sublime treat. Great body, acid is solid but balanced.

October 2, 2021 - On opening I immediately got peach aromas! Then it settled into a nice red fruited Zin with a bit of stone fruit to keep it complex. Nice stuff. I suspect this is best around 8 years from vintage when a bit more complexity is likely to have emerged.

July 28, 2021 - A serious wine at a good spot right now. Decanted and immediately poured first glass. Light perfume of black fruit. The 14.5 percent abv is evident but not off-putting. Still lots of tongue coating tannins that contribute to a long finish. Second glass was after sitting for 3 hours and only improved. Another great OMV from Scherrer.
