October 23, 2021 - Straighter Wein, mit etwas Luft liefert der alles, was man hier erwartet. Spaß zu Steak oder Käse.

March 3, 2021 - Montes give Colchagua a bit of elegance, t the fruit is not on your face, rather you get the oak first, then fruit and back to the vanilla. Balanced and delicious.

September 2, 2020 - This needs a lot of aeration, before it is quite tannic. Has classy aromas of flowers, chalk, coffee, minerals, blackcurrants and cassis. Its solid medium bodied well oaked plush minerally blue fruits palate has excellent chewy depth and lovely freshness. Ends longish, fresh and with some tannin. Needs 4-5 hrs aeration. Lay down 5 years+. 14%.

    March 27, 2019 - Medium ruby colour.

Medium+ intensity of aromas (having some age): fruitforward with black, ripe fruit: cassis, black cherry, figs. Savoury herbal notes (mint), light toasted oak, tobacco and some alcohol on nose.

Dry, high acidity, high (dry) tannins, medium+ body, medium+ alcohol. Medium+ intensity of flavours.
The fruit on palate is blacker and with more noticeable oak, matched with some ripe stalkiness, mint, dried spice; cinnamon and pepper.
    Finish is medium long.

A fruitforward wine with just the right amount of oak. Acidity-driven with smooth tannins and rather herbaceous.

    90 cs/10 merlot
