Community Tasting Notes 9

January 27, 2023 - Better after 10 minutes in the decanter than when first opened. Lighter and darker red fruits along with some earth greet you on the nose. The medium bodied palate carries all of these, along with lots of spice, a hint of minerality, and juicy but balancing acidity. Probably best to drink up in the next 12 months or so.

January 1, 2021 - Better than before but I am still detecting VA or something else. This is still drinkable but I remember really enjoying this at the winery.

December 4, 2020 - Note to self: Scherrer wines age beautifully.

    October 10, 2020 - Patience rewarded

November 21, 2019 - The jury is out with this for now. I really enjoyed this at a fun winery tasting but I almost had a sense that this bottle was off. What was particularly puzzling was that not every sip seemed off. I picked up an occasional stewed fruit note and possibly some VA.
