February 14, 2024 - Damn good stuff. GG in style and quality. Too long ago for detailed notes, but this was a fantastically complex wine that was good to the last drop.

June 16, 2023 - At 10 years, the wine still exhibits great acid and fruit. Citrus and green apple, minerality, salinity and flint/petrol. Bone dry and great paired with light fare, pork, chicken.

March 24, 2023 - 10 year old was in a perfect spot. Still a bit of primary fruit, well balanced, no sharp acid left to the edges. Nicely balanced, long finish, paired with tuna poke and sushi. Nice match.

December 18, 2021 - 10.5% alcohol, bone dry and poor. Youthful and will certainly last. My only criticism, is that the finish is slightly short.

June 27, 2021 - I just had a Red Newt Circle and in notes wished I could try a drier version. I did and this is brutally drier that it's Circle cousin. Fruit is secondary to the cut of this wine, which is substantial and very nice and refreshing. Fruit peach and grapefruit but way subdued. Detected no petrol as other users have noted. Almost like a murderer from the Loire. (No, the spell check in Cellartracker put 'murderer' in, but it sounds pretty funny, should read 'Muscadet.')
I like this. Recommended. Hard to say what it was, say, five years ago, but most likely in its prime now. I would buy again as I would like to try a younger vintage. Second day the sharp cut of wine present but faded about ten minutes. one more thing; the cork looked really decent, and was firm without any infiltration at all. Germany, are you reading?
