September 19, 2023 - A blend of 26% Viognier, 25% Grenache Blanc, 25% Marsanne, and 24% Roussanne. 13.5% ABV. Screw cap. Bright medium yellow. Floral notes, yellow fruit, oranges, lime curd, and anise, with medium-minus acidity, and very good length. Medium-bodied, with a smooth, buttery texture. Pleasant light bitterness. Good persistence. In a good place. I would drink now and over the next three or four years.

April 2, 2020 - Gold hue. Nose of honeysuckle, orange blossom, candle wax, white peach, yellow pear, pineapple, lime curd, lemon balm, marshmallow, lanolin, a tinge of saline. Slight honey. The palate features a soft Viognier-like texture, a touch oily, medium-bodied and perhaps a touch lighter than expected. Gentle acidity but the wine is not flabby. Pleasant undercurrent of white minerals and low key nutmeg/ bergamot orange peel. Great entry level Cali Rhône blend. I’d drink the 2015 vintage now, if you still have one.

March 15, 2019 - Shared at a dinner party--well liked. Threads many Rhone white needles and comes up with one united front: floral yet fruity, rich but with some acid backbone too.

January 16, 2019 - 48 hours after opening, tried remainder in the bottle. Oxygen has been very beneficial to this wine, color is yellow gold, the harsh pith notes are enveloped by ripe fruits of late harvest Riesling, nectarine and tangerine, and flower nectar. The mouth is fatter, with a lanolin clinginess. Overall tastier, more complex and sexier than on Day 1. Very instructive.

January 14, 2019 - Paired nicely with linguini con vongole e finocchio. Rather pale and mildly aromatic of peach, white flowers, and peach pit. Not extremely tart or acidic. Superb intensity in the mouth offering citrus pith, hints of tangerine zest, and a suggestion of EVOO Arbequina herbal pepperiness. Despite the Viognier content, sipping it after dinner not as alluring in itself as some of the other amazing 2015 Tablas Creek whites (esp Vermentino, Patelin Blanc, Clairette), but with the pasta it was great. Côtes de Tablas Blanc is usually carried by the grace and immediate appeal of Viognier, but the 2015 is only 25% Viognier. With food 90, by itself 86. My guess is that it may display more character and perhaps sensuousness from 2021, when the Roussanne and Marsanne open up.

March 6, 2018 - A wonderful value wine, even if on the ultra ripe side of things. Baked apple with honeycomb and sweet spice. Starts of very lush, with more restraint coming through middle through finish. Good+ now.

February 19, 2018 - Nice aromatics, but I agree with the reviews find it without sufficient acidity and a bit flabby. Improved a bit with food. I drank it at cellar temperature but perhaps chilling it will help. I see that others thought it improved as it warmed.

December 6, 2017 - PnP -- better at cellar temps than fridge temps. A white Rhone blend that usually focuses on Viognier, Roussanne, and Marsanne, with some Grenache Blanc (usually 25%) for balance. While the Viognier contributes wonderful aromatics, the palate recognizes mostly stone fruits (pear & peach), and minerality, but lacks enough citrus component (coming from Grenache Blanc) so that the wine can be a bit flabby and disjointed, with a particularly unpleasant finish. Recommend the Patelin de Tablas Blanc - see that TN.
