    November 17, 2023 - I had this wine on Dec.04 2022 and I liked it 94 points
Let's see what kind of "damage" time did to it. An hour in the decanter.
    🕙⏰🕐
I "discovered" new fun with wines I drank before. With the second bottle I write my notes on paper and compare to my CT review. This is my first time and I'm so... good. 😉 Basically I can just C&P my notes from last year. And I will do it. A few new takes. Aromas - cranberry and red currant. Wine has thick almost syropy texture. A lot of black pepper in long, fresh finish.
19 years old wine and no indication of it! I wish I could have one more bottle or more.
I like it better than the last time.
The wine has a dark ruby color with purple hues.

My notes from the first bottle:
18 years old wine and still fresh, juicy, bold and heavy with perfect balance between red and black fruits and between acidity and sweetness. Lovely aromas of flowers, black berry, plum and more sweet notes, but I have problem to describe them.
Taste as I wrote above. A lot of red and black fruits. Ripe, sweet, but still grippy tannins.

October 31, 2023 - Quite rich for the age and decent grip. Wonderfully mature, probably a bit too mature for most, definitely not a crowd pleaser given the fruit has mostly faded, but for me, still enough to support the great tertiary notes to complete the wine. Sweet tobacco, fresh leather, porcini mushroom, small bit of rose petal, some black tar and stewed maraschino cherry while sitting on some damp soil. Palate is more dark cherry, some toasty wood and with amazingly lifted acidity and a full body.

May 4, 2023 - Deep ruby with bricking on edges. Intense aromas of plums, blackberries, plum compot, picklings. Wine is dense, very balanced between sweetness and acidity, still inough tannins present. Taste of plums, cherry, dark chocolate. Long.

(La Spinetta (Rivetti) Barbera d'Alba Gallina) Big watermelon and raspberry brulee on nose; gorgeous fruit and depth, ripe cherries and plush, spicy black fruit; medium-plus finish 92+ pts.
