February 24, 2024 - Outstanding California Zinfandel. Went very well with homemade pizza.
January 12, 2024 - Another good bottle of this. In a great spot right now.
January 5, 2024 - Great zin as always with Bedrock, well balanced and restrained and complex for a lower priced bottle. 2015 drinking perfectly right now if you like your wines developed but still lively.
December 7, 2023 - Great vintage of this wine - continues to drink really well.
November 24, 2023 - A beautiful, perfumed, balanced Zin. Full of black and blue fruits and spices, with a balancing line of acidity that keeps it fresh and exciting.
November 22, 2023 - Color: Deep red with brown at the edge
Nose: hint of funk, leather, fruit, dried cherry
Palate: Earth and leather with fruit and a structured tannic core. Opens up to lush plum or cherry -- scratch that, black raspberry! On day two, still leathery and fruity with streaks of something starburst like, really good acid follow through. More red berries. Alcohol shows through a bit at the end.
Winebid purchase, really enjoyed this.
November 11, 2023 - This is clearly bigger and bolder than the 2016 OV Zin. More depth, more extraction, but not over the top in any way. Fruit has maybe the barest hint of roasted character. Otherwise, just a very good Zinfandel at this stage in its life. Needed a little air and warming up to room temp (70F) to really come into focus and strut its stuff. This should at least hold for a few more years, if not evolve further.
October 28, 2023 - Going through a dark stage. Decanted 2 hours and first night was tight and dry. Second night it opened up but not fully. Black fruit. Needs some time. Don’t touch the others for a few years.
August 17, 2023 - Really good now! Wish I had more. Better than many of the more expensive or single-vineyard zins out there. And awesome QPR on top of that.
August 13, 2023 - Bought with questionable provenance, still awesome at 8 years old!
