July 30, 2020 - The more Bedrock I drink the more I am coming around to the fact that while a few of the reds drink well young, they need to sleep before the real party starts. With that in mind, after 5 years this Bedrock Heritage has up opened somewhat. Reserved notes of black raspberry play off clay and briary notes, good acidity and freshness. The back end shows a lot of power indicating this still has many years to go. Drink now with a long decant.

July 29, 2020 - Decanted 1 hour and consumed over 2 nights. Night 1 was all about structure. Robust tannin, nice zippy acidity, and delicious raspberry fruit. Night 2 was just about perfect. A harmony of all things "wine", with lovely flavors and smooth mouthfeel. Nothing is out of place, and this is drinking beautifully. Could still go years I'm sure. Drink now with air - 2025.

    July 16, 2020 - Part of vertical tasting of 14, 15 ,16. Two bottles of the 15.
My first bottle of the 15 had me concerned. Seemed like a very aged wine without the normal robustness and freshness of the normal Bedrock.
CAVEAT - This wine was stored at 65 degrees in non-refrigerated basement/cellar.
After having the first bottle - grew concerned about the storage and how it was affecting the wine (note that I've got over 500 bottles stored this way and have never had this concern).
Very Garnet. When you think Garnet, this is pure Garnet, medium meniscus.
Very restrained in the nose as well as on the palate.
Some raspberry, mostly cherry, with hints of light soil and perhaps even a little olive. This was decanted for 60 minutes and then consumed over several hours. It did nothing but get better as the night went on - but the subtlety of this wine was shocking to me for a Bedrock heritage. Lovely but very restrained wine.
After tasting two now within the last week - and they are both the same, I will be drinking this up.
Other notes seem to indicate holding. I cannot concur but am not sure the handling has not been an issue. You can see my notes on the 14 and 16 if you care to compare.

May 30, 2020 - I should have held this one another year or two. It is still on it's way up. Taste great though.

May 10, 2020 - Great effort. Will be peaking in 2022 but very enjoyable now.
