December 28, 2019 - Great dark red sweet fruits, strawberry, cherry, raspberry, tomato, bacon fat, violets, clove, cinnamon, super fine grain tannins, perfect balance and great intensity. I love this wine and very sorry this is my last bottle.

November 17, 2019 - Actually meant to grab the 2012, ha ha. This is not for the faint of heart. Nose of motor oil, grilled peaches, & boysenberry preserves with an intoxicating ethereal swampiness throughout. A deeply pitched plum and blackberry palate goes on forever. Not especially tannic. Overall like a hypothetical cross between an Alban and a Cayuse. I think Galloni was triggered by the Guigal Lala hyperbole marketing. This was delicious and distinctive, if massive in presentation. I expect this to improve incrementally over the next 5 years, not sure about the long term.

May 22, 2018 - Initially it had almost zero nose... even later it wasn't that impressive. The palate on the other hand is a very different story. Crazy intense, cherry liquor, strawberry, orange peel and cream, tobacco, cinnamon, cloves, roses, tea, a little hot still on the finish, but wow this is good with the incredible mix of flavors and silky profile. Love it. The Viognier is very noticeable on this wine more than the #2 as to be expected.

April 14, 2018 - Terrific wine straight out of the bottle. Very balanced with a long taste that seems to gain weight. Wonderful.
