  January 31, 2014 - This is like what a "zin" should be; we pulled it out directly from my cellar & it was a "pop & pour"; no decanting, just open and go! It has a very nice, big blackberry nose with strong fruit & berry flavors, a beautiful spicey flavor with a nice medium-long finish; lots of sediment, but wish we had more; doesn't taste "over the hill" at all!

  September 16, 2013 - We tasted this at the winery and thought it was great...it's still very good but not quite what we remember. There is lots of blackberry fruit and spice, along with earth in a nicely layered wine. It just seems to be slightly beyond its peak.

  December 18, 2011 - Decanted for an hour before drinking. Wine opened up nicely, with bright fruit and soft tannins. Wonderful nose of blackberry and sage. The only disappointment was a relatively short finish, but this was more than made up for with the nice balance and the wonderful palate of flavors. Very nice wine, paired with tenderloin and burgundy mushrooms.
