March 11, 2021 - It was okay.
A bit tart with first taste.
Boring
January 17, 2021 - Still full of fruit and other pleasant notes: cocoa and spiced blackberry, with hints of cassis and even some mocha nuances - this is big on spiced-dark fruit and I liked it beginning to end.
December 1, 2020 - Over the hill but still a nice daily red. If you own it, drink it now.
July 7, 2019 - 4th of July picnic gift, this was served at cellar temperature on a warm, humid evening. It was tight right out of the bottle. I poured a glass and let it stand in the kitchen (75F) for about 1/2 hour. Blackberry on the nose, sweet, dark fruit, vanilla on the palate; moderate tannins on the finish. It may have worked better with burgers than hor d'oeuvres.
January 15, 2019 - Celebrating HOK offer letter
November 14, 2018 - meh. A lot of better values out there in the $15 range
September 17, 2018 - Dark berry nose, not complex but easy drinking.
July 14, 2018 - Boysenberries, blackberries and mocha on the nose. Boysenberries and plums provide sweetness on the front of the tongue with blackberries providing tartness on the back, and dark chocolate notes plus a silky finish. Medium mouthfeel, and medium finish all combine to make this an absolutely delicious wine!
May 21, 2018 - This is an easy drinking and uncomplicated wine. In other words, boring. The nose is sweet and floral. Cherry and strawberry flavors are unusually light and sweet for a cab. There is some silky vanilla finish. This is a great pick if you're looking for something middle of the road for a crowd who is unsure about wine.
March 17, 2018 - an average bottle of wine for the non-wine crowd. Fruity and on the sweeter side with little oak or tannins. It is what it is. Not every wine is something to be deeply analyzed to be appreciated. Opened this for someone who is not a big wine lover and she loved it....enough said!
