February 27, 2021 - Great value for Burgundy. The combination cherry, strawberry, and cranberry fruit combo had an elegant ripeness that has aged beautifully. Mushroom and slightly turned dry earth gave it a nice old world grounding. Slight spice from oak but just the right amount and well integrated.

November 23, 2019 - Garnet, clear. A: Dark berries, mushroom, damp forest, tea, coffee bean. F: Rich fruit, soft mouthfeel, damp soil and dark red fruit, bit of spice, medium plus finish. Really nice and drinking well already!

October 24, 2019 - Plum Market Luxury Tasting (Bad Hunter - Chicago IL): Walk around tasting. Old school style with good depth, combining black fruit, roasted meat, and earth with a barnyard hint. Good nose, slightly more lean on palate. Best to enjoy over the next few years.

October 24, 2019 - Plum Market Fall Luxury Tasting (Chicago, IL): The nose is better than the palate; a slight hint of funk to go with some mushrooms and red fruit. The palate is a little thin and shows some astringency on the finish.

December 19, 2018 - Medium ruby slightly lighter at rim. On the nose black cherry, strawberry and red currant with rose, violet, herbs (thyme/ sage), clove, leather, mushroom, crushed rock and hints of iron (some rustic elements). The floral elements are quite pronounced in this wine as it opens up. Medium body with fine tannins and medium+ acid. Very nice to drink now, but will benefit from 3-5 years in bottle.
