January 11, 2015 - My impression mirrors that of Wadcorp. Surprisingly fresh and lively.

January 4, 2014 - Baby Clarendon. Cherry, olive, tobacco, fennel nose -- intoxicating. Cherry, tomato, spice, kirsch, mocha, pomegranate, and ash palate. Wonderful mature flavors, but the fruit and tannins still dominate. Finish fires on all cylinders. Think this could go another decade, but slim odds of finding another bottle to find out..

May 14, 2012 - Popped about 6 hours before drinking. No decant. Some very slight bricking colour, but no evidence of fading fruit. Notes of red cherry, kirsch, chocolate and spice box. Really nice. No noticable heat.

April 19, 2012 - Superb, sweet fruit still hanging in there smooth tannins and a touch of spice from the oak. Great length with a touch of acidty to keep everything in line. Nearing it's peak but no immediate rush.

January 22, 2012 - Not decanted, consumed over ~2 hours. This is drinking very nicely at the moment. Dried cherry and blackberry fruit (ever so slightly reductive?) plays nicely with dark spicy notes and whiffs of balsamic vinegar and smoke which showed up towards the end. There are hints of a former ripeness, but this has good acid and structure to bring it into balance. This bottle threw a noticeable amount of fine sediment, just to mention it.

December 8, 2011 - Drinking beautifully. Last bottle we had a couple of years ago was a bit too fruity, but it has matured very nicely. Still have vibrant grenache fruit, but has developed dried flowers etc. Great value.

August 6, 2010 - This was quite nice, exceeding my expectations. Large scaled and intense, and certainly not shy or refined, but not over the top and quite interesting. Nose of red fruit and spice (Ethan says blueberries, strawberries, and chocolate, I think he got the last two right... nice call on the chocolate). Intense and concentrated, strawberries, raspberries, kirsch, spice. Pretty straightforward wine, not my style really, but not boring and good value.

August 6, 2010 - Much better than the 05, lots of dark grenache fruit backed up by fine drying tannis - very nice and I'll risk waiting a couple of years before opening the next one.
