November 6, 2023 - This wine seems to be in a sweet spot right now. I think it likely has a few more years but not sure it gets better from here. I'm some red berry and bacon on the nose and red berries and smoke on a medium length finish on the palate.
September 15, 2021 - Spectacular right now. Fully up to the WA 94 rating. Unfortunately, this is my last bottle.
August 25, 2020 - Singing. Beautifully soft wine. Fruit still very present and subtle classic Syrah notes.
December 7, 2019 - 15.4% ABV, tannins are smooth, medium body
November 10, 2018 - Ripe blackberry and plum, well integrated oak, medium length finish.
April 9, 2018 - Black and blue fruits.
Blackberry jam, blueberry pie, leather, tight and a but thin, a lot of heat on the back.
Found it less interesting than the Zio Tony.
Day 3 came into its own and softened considerably. A very different wine, less rigid, more florals and soft red, blue, black fruits
January 4, 2018 - Enjoyed this one more than prior bottle, more open tonight, though still structured, blueberry fruit and minerality showed through and alcohol integrated.
October 1, 2017 - Dark scarlet purple
Ripe, somewhat briny, chunky blackberry fruit.
not elegant or subtle, but pretty tasty stuff.
July 3, 2017 - Fruity hints of blueberry, smooth no tannins.
May 19, 2017 - Classic Martinelli Syrah. Fruity with a lot going on. Complemented the food very well. Crowd pleaser at a restaurant.
