February 24, 2024 - 13.5% ABV. Served en magnum into Radikon glass ("Fruit" day): Medium ruby to the eyes.

Broad spectrum of dark organic red and black cherry and plummy fruits, smoke and dried florals. Pure yet rich in style.

Good acidity and umami-filled palate with great flavor intensity consistent with nose.

Clearly one of the best samples from this producer in my view. 94-95 points.

June 28, 2023 - A private dinner (Restaurant Choux, Amsterdam, NL): Beautifully matured, deep and rich aromas, fresh but with meaty depth, garrigue and rose hip, minerally energy, bright and appetising finish. It reminds me a bit of Emmanuel Reynaud’s Parisy, but without its excesses.

November 24, 2019 - Hazy ruby - more like a light red than a rosé. Pure red fruits, garrigue, mineral.

July 10, 2019 - Electric and after a couple of hours it picked up even more incredible and beguiling complexity. I almost weep at the thought that this was my only bottle.

September 30, 2018 - From Mag, thank you Jim! Here the nose is just astutely sweet and the palate has sweet, lively, lightweight black licorice, dark strawberry, and a clean, paper-like sensibility. Agreed this is so special. Tho a better wine in this style is the cornellissen contadino.

September 20, 2017 - Carcassonne. Utterly delicious and very clean. So many layers of ultra fresh flavors. I could drink boatloads of this. Wish I could find it in the US in this kind of condition. Oh and this was 25 euro.

March 1, 2017 - This is special. Dried roses, strawberries and funk on the nose. Great balance between acidity and herbaceousness. Finish continues for a good twenty seconds, in a way that just seems incongruous for a wine this fresh and light.

January 18, 2017 - I don't have a lot of experience with these wines, so I was very curious to try this. Dark color for a Rose, and with real extract, so more like a light red. Very natural wine-esque, very carbonic, with a slight spritz. Juicy red fruit, some slick fleshy carbonic-style extract, but not a lot of complexity. Does not hold up well in the glass, it gets flat and sour. Interesting and exceedingly drinkable but I don't quite see why people get so excited about this stuff.

September 16, 2016 - Damn. This is delicious. Young but fleshiest vintage I've had of this. But still with that supreme purity and elegance. Roses, herbs, strawberries. Fantastic year for this.
