December 16, 2023 - This was absolutely drinking at its peak on the night, hitting its stride about half an hour after being opened. Highly aromatic, and possessing a soft mousse, the complexity - and maturity - of this wine shone through on the nose. Notes of butter, smoke, brioche, nuttiness and honey came across on the nose over the course of the drinking experience, but it was the palate that did the trick for me. A fruit-driven upfront, green apple, peach and lemon zest medlied over some zippy acidity before the mid-palate introduced some balance with notes of brioche, hazelnut and a hint of anise. The finish showed the age of the wine as spices and pepper complimented the other notes quite well on the backend. As a whole, this was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Decent Champagne with a nice nose and a lovely mineral core. Good entry into this fantastic evening. Quite young, so no need to hurry. 91-92 -
