November 29, 2022 - 4th time I have had this wine. Paired with pork wings in a sweet thai chili sauce. Golden color. Some petrol aromas. Notes of key lime and tropical fruits. Moderate acidity. Smooth and round with a sweet but not dessert level finish. 96 points.

November 25, 2022 - Annual Friendsgiving Gathering (M/M thelostverse): Courtesy of VM following the terrific RvK. Also deeply colored, showing the same wonderful ripe stone fruit but with hints of petrol, spice and ripe apple. There's a hint of sulfur in there too. More complexity and deeper than the RvK. 95-96 pts, and in the early stages of peak drinkability.

November 5, 2022 - Thai and Riesling Night: [Thai and Riesling Night - Nine Rieslings]
One of my WOTNs. Very prominent and intense ripe yellow and stone fruit, sweet honeyed peaches and apricot, big bold fruit enveloping the entire palate. Sugars are well balanced with acidity, despite the sweetness of the wine. Long long finish of golden fruit dipped in honey, lasts forever. Still improved with time and air. Matched amazingly with Thai food. 95+ showing

October 25, 2022 - Trung's birthday, for Martha. Hasn't moved much in three years. Still sweet, delicious, and relatively simple. Will try to have some patience.

August 8, 2021 - The still bright golden robe you'd expect at this early stage. Generous yet refined nose: pineapple and juicy apples with, more remarkably, fresh higher notes of orange flower or jasmine. On the palate, fantastic weight—resolutely not alcohool-driven; recall that, unlike Sauternes precisely, this is 7.5 abv—yet no heaviness whatsoever. Creamy sweetness together with a vibrant acidity, beautifully woven into some rich silk fabric, good (though on this showing, not exceptional) length. Well-framed moreish taste profile of yellow peaches, quince, vanishing honey. However, as of now, still primary; I'd wait another 5 years to open another bottle. 93-94 PS: Like others here, one of the worst corks ever; as it may be a systematic problem with their bottling that year, be prepared.

July 17, 2020 - Had high expectations and they were met. Expressive nose of peaches, petrol, acacia, honey, complex and absolutely fabulous. Given this is an Auslese Goldkapsel the sweetness is clearly elevated here as well, good acidity though. Still, I felt this drinks like a Sauternes, which means for me, 1 glass is enough, no matter how good this is. I would typically only open a 0.75 bottle of this sweetness degree when there are 6-8 pax at the table. 95+

January 19, 2020 - Blind. Some honey, botrytis - but not overly much, spices, mature fruit, big acid, yellow - rather than white fruit. The vintage may have tricked me here producing very mature fruit, so a was a bit further south and closer to Bernkastel Kues in my guessing.
