March 2, 2023 - Deep ripe plum, blackberry and tobacco box. Needs some time to open up. Was very impressed
May 7, 2019 - Bright and deep. A hint of herbal fruit but plenty of ripeness and elegance. Time in hand.
February 9, 2019 - Great fruitiness for a young Pauillac. This had all of joy of the left bank but with the fruit that one often associates with the right bank. This was not dry and austere, although in its youth. Lovely dark fruit and yet soft tannins. I think this is ready to enjoy. Bonne dégustation!
August 5, 2018 - Quite nice. Strong wine, quite a hot nose with hints of bramble, taste has acidity, cedar, graphite, bramble, moderate tannins, somewhat unctuous mouthfeel.
August 13, 2017 - Price:quality on this is off the charts - I love the genuine Pauillac character in this.. blackcurrants, and pencil lead.
total bargain
May 19, 2017 - Decanted 2 hours prior to tasting. Served with steak pie from local butcher.
Nose somewhat restrained, opening over the meal. Cherry and some bramble giving way to light liquorice.
Mouth round and well integrated.
Fairly short.
Good QPR. Really pleasant and well integrated Pauillac.
April 3, 2017 - properly good Pauillac
Should last a decade, yet I find myself having drunk through half the case already.
Delicious. And very ready.
January 6, 2017 - bursting with flavour. Dark berries.
December 6, 2016 - flat, dull, all wrong
August 13, 2016 - couldn't resist opening first bottle.
Blackcurrant richness, good weight, and frankly a better bottle than most of the 2000 of same wine.
Balance too.
Reckon 10 years of life in this.
