February 11, 2024 - Popped and poured. This is a solid red wine with tongue-staining concentration. The bottle is very clean without a hint of sediment. On the nose, I get olive brine, generalized funk, and some soy sauce. In the mouth, this is mid-weight and juicy, with overarching salt brick aspects. The finish continues the general theme of this wine, highlighted by savory and chewy traits. Overall, I found this to be very typical of the producer and region. I liked the wine, but it is difficult to tell the various bottlings apart absent a side-by-side tasting. They are all good, but they do blur together. 91 points.

December 20, 2023 - Day 1: For sure not a pop and pour wine. Needs a serious decant. Gravel, raspberries, menthol, white pepper, spices, earth and floral notes. Super complex wine and long finish. 94 points
Day 3: For sure more intense than day one and showing really well. This show drink easily through 20230. Black olives, gravel, raspberries, ripe strawberries, earth, tar, funk and floral notes. Super concentrated and really long finish. A true testament that great wines can drink well 3 day and beyond. 96 points
Recommendation: I would drink this now with a good 3 hour decant or hold through 2028.

November 15, 2023 - Day 1: Roasted meats, blue currants, olives, minerals, smoke, earth, white pepper and tar. Complex offering and medium plus finish. Should improve over 3 days as this is still young. 92+ points
Day 2: So much better on day 2. Gravel, tar, minerals, earth, dark fruits, smoked meats, rose petals, dust, white pepper and green olives. Medium to long finish. Nice acidity and of high quality. 95 points
Day 3: Not nearly as good as the peak of day 2. Earth, red currants, spice, olives, smoke, sour blackberries and pepper. Medium finish. Lacks the complexity of day 2 for sure. 90 points
Recommendation: These have plenty of life left and no hurry to drink. Decant 4 hours for a good day 1 experience.

December 16, 2022 - This is a good wine - distinctive and completely enjoyable. This night it had the misfortune of being alongside a 2015 Jaboulet La Chapelle. Unfair.

October 15, 2022 - Double decanted two hours. Excellent and a great companion to a grilled flank steak meal. Great fruit, with paper and savory notes on a long finish. Outstanding balance. Palate is the high point, nose is really good but not where the palate is. Glad I have more, entering a great drinking window.
