December 16, 2023 - SMG blend from the Willow Creek District of Paso Robles. Wonderful wine with lots of depth, fruit, and some savory overtones. These people made some terrific wines of which this was one.

April 2, 2022 - Inky deep ruby color. Green stem and ripe red fruits on the nose. Tannins are the primary sensation on the palate, suggesting another 5-10 years cellar life.
Grape stem and baked red fruit predominate the palate. The slurp is actually quite good, but this wine will benefit from another few years cellar time.
October 9, 2020 - Decanted 1/2 hr. Consistent, fruity tastes. Well balanced. Quite tasty.

January 19, 2020 - Full fruit with smooth tannins. Not overly jammy, just the right amount. Enjoyed with a nice Italian meal.
January 14, 2020 - - Brick color. It's balanced with a full body - Awesome, full bodied, aromas of tobacco and licorice, nice balance; like this wine!

February 9, 2019 - Big dark fruit, acid, and spice blend with tar and a bit off licorice to a complexly flavored wine. This bottle improved with dinner, and after being opened for a couple of hours. A very enjoyable syrah.
