March 4, 2023 - Not fair, we drank tbis against a fortunate son. Really emphasized the sweet cigar box, dark fruit and lower acidity. Decent QPR
February 8, 2020 - Dark smooth and a bit creamy. Yep, it’s like that. Haha. Might be movie we watched while having it. Paired well with steak and mushrooms, and salted chocolate. A treat for sure.
September 5, 2019 - Decanted for an hour. Dark fruit and hint of licorice on the nose. Huge body, filled with fruit. Just gorgeous. Just enough acidity to balance out the fruit. Tannins are well integrated, but make themselves known near the finish. I’ll give it at year before my next bottle, and probably another year before my last, which should continue to improve and evolve.
July 29, 2019 - 2nd day notes. Really nice wine. Deep purple color. Very expressive fruit forward nose of black cherry, plum, strawberry and oak. Taste is similar but with some milk chocolate, stoniness and acidity to it. Like more than I expected. Medium well integrated tannins. Full body. Will look for more. About 92 to 93.
December 17, 2018 - Love this wine
December 3, 2017 - A really good bottle. Great fruit. Drinkable between now and the next 5 years. I would load up on these if you can :)
November 9, 2017 - I rate this a 90 on the first go around. fruit forward. tons of berries....hint of pepper....pomegranate, raspberry with sugar...really good
September 23, 2017 - This certainly comes back towards the 11 & 12 style, and away from the 13 jammy style, but it's still way too young. With a 2 hour decant, this wine has a great big cab nose of dark fruits, menthol and licorice. A big bold body follows in fashion that's a little rough around the edges. There's a lot of flavor, with dark berries, licorice, and a spice that goes on and on. Good depth, good flavor, integrated tannins, and good acidity, but this really needs to soften up. A lot of fun now, but this should be brilliant in 5+ years.
March 25, 2017 - If you want smooth bold and berry tasting this is the wine. Tasted even better the second day so give it hours in the decanter. Approachable now so excited to see how it drinks over time.
