January 14, 2022 - Brilliant straw with hints of gold. Heavy tears. Expressive nose with lots of yellow fruit (peach, yellow apples, lemon), and of course a clear hint of minerals (chalk) and petroleum, although the petro-tone is very subtle. Full bodied attack, lots of green apples and lemon up front, then it expands to more yellow fruit on the mid palate, while ending tight and fresh on a long finish dominated by citrus and green apples. Almost tannic, so there is a lot of dry extract in this wine. Still a baby. Keep for five more years, but this will keep well and evolve positively for at least a decade. Serious stuff.
July 3, 2021 - Mer gule epler enn Hippings grønne, og generelt litt søtere frukt. Skjuler dermed syra bedre og er en tanke mer balansert, men ellers ganske lik.

February 1, 2020 - Tiefes Gelb im Glas. Gute Komplexität in der Nase, vor allem Ananas, gelbe Frucht und etwas Salz. Viel Ananas und im Prinzip ausgewogene Säure im Geschmack, aber durch eine etwas staubige Trockenheit kann sich der Geschmack nicht voll entfalten.

Nose: lemon, petrol, mineral ,peach
palate : very strong acidity in the beginning , but with nice acidity structure.
Good mineral backbone with lemon, peach, dry on finished. Best after 2 hrs of drinking. Can age very long.
February 13, 2017 - VDP- Tour Grosse Lage 2017 (Hotel Atlantic, Hamburg): Nearly always my favourite GG of K-G, showing superb stonefruit, stone licking on the midpalate, complex, finesse with depth, still much too young but chalky and delicious though, I like this young appearance too, but you will get a great, layered and more harmonic Riesling in some years, for the next decade+, **(**+), 91-94+
September 3, 2016 - Litt tilknappa på duft. Noe marsipan, stein. Frisk i munnen, men samtidig rund. Fin fruktfylde (for en riesling) rett fra flaska, men litt tynn noen timer senere. Grapefruktpreg i ettersmaken. Får mer luft, så får vi se.
